When I visited Ireland around 20 years ago I purchased a wine carafe and goblets from Louis Mulcahy's pottery. These images taken in 2009 show that the pottery is still going strong producing great pots at reasonable prices to visitors from all over the world and also providing valuable employment to the local community.
The pottery is situated at the tip of the beautiful Dingle peninsula in South West Ireland, an inspirational place to live and work. I got up very early on the last day of my holiday to watch the sunrise over the rocky coast near the pottery, a memorable end to a great trip. As we got into the car to start the long journey back to Dublin I noticed an early morning walker coming towards us, it was Louis starting his day.
