Nic Collins - Huge Jar - 83cm tall

Nic Collins - Huge Jar - 83cm tall

This huge jar came from the firing of Nic's groundhog kiln in February 2022. These few pictures show the journey of the pot from Nic's momentum wheel and then through the 4 day wood firing process. The skillful placing of the jar on its side and its position near the side stoking holes have resulted in some very interesting interplay between the tenmoku glaze and the wood ash, this is a wonderful pot that just keeps on giving.
