Mick Casson's dry ash pots have always been a favourite of mine and this is a particularly nice example. I bought the bread bin at auction in Norfolk, it bears the collection sticker of its previous owner, Griselda Lewis, a prolific author of pottery books. I later found the bread bin illustrated in her book A Collector's History of English Pottery so she must have rated it highly.
