This large beer tankard was part of the old standard ware range produced at the Leach Pottery in St. Ives from the late 1930s all the way through to Bernard Leach's death in 1979. I have a few of these in my collection, oatmeal, tenmoku and celadon versions were available. This is a particularly good example, it is stamped with the Leach Pottery mark and ENGLAND.
